It’s been quite a while since I wrote and I would love to share a few updates from 99 Counties with you!
It’s Turkey Time!
Hard to believe it’s that time of year again! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays - both for the opportunity to spend quality time with family and also because I think cooking a whole Turkey is criminally underrated — it’s just so darn tasty!
It’s also a ton of work for us behind the scenes sourcing, processing and packing up Turkeys for hundreds of families across the US each year. We have a few Turkeys left on hand and if you haven’t ordered one yet we’d love it if you got your turkey from 99 Counties.
Updates from the field
Doug and I remain hard at work growing our supply chain and serving our customers. We’re very proud to have added a number of new farmers and meat offerings in recent months — we are now selling regeneratively sourced beef and goat, as well as wild caught seafood. We’ve also launched a juicier beef meat stick, chicken bone broth and a number of other long awaited products!
Technology Updates
We recently migrated our entire subscription service from Recharge to Awtomic. Awtomic is a newer technology provider with better integration to our eCommerce provider Shopify. Since making the switch a few weeks ago we’re seeing an improved customer experience and a higher opt-in rate to our subscription products.
New additions to our team
This fall we’ve welcomed three wonderful new additions to our team.
Lucie — our customer service associate, joined us at the end of September. Her sparkling personality and inquisitive nature have made an immediate impact and customers are loving working with her. It has also allowed me more time to focus on other areas of the business (in particular marketing and technology).
Nicole — our nutrition intern, joined around the same time and has been sharing recipes and health tips via our instagram account. We are excited for her to keep sharing more with our community and improving the nutritional information on our website.
Andriy and Good Subscription Agency — We’ve been working with Andriy since early August and are incredibly grateful for the improvements to our digital experience that he has made and fired up about additional enhancements and changes we have planned over the course of the next month.
